About This Role
The Chief Press Officer is responsible for our news. They define the global editorial strategy, manage the corporate brand voice, and hold accountability for the news site's growth and journalistic standards.
Responsibilities
- Define Spartan52's global editorial strategy
- Manage the corporate brand voice across news coverage
- Hold accountability for the news site's growth and journalistic standards
- Guide the Media Correspondent team on editorial direction
Basic Qualifications
- Strong editorial judgment and leadership skills
- Experience overseeing journalism or editorial content, in a professional or volunteer capacity
- Comfortable operating at a leadership level in a remote, volunteer organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior leadership experience in journalism or editorial management
- Familiarity with the Spartan52 brand and community
Required Education
- No formal education required; relevant editorial or journalism leadership experience strongly preferred
